The Musical

Billy is brought up in a Northern mining town by his father where boys are expected to box not to dance, let alone harbour dreams of attending the Royal Ballet School. After joining a ballet class his inspirational dance teacher spots real talent and encourages Billy to apply to the Royal Ballet. This awe-inspiring tale follows Billy in his triumph over adversity and his fight to prove his doubters wrong by going all the way.

The Cast

On the 2 December several cast members left the show. These include Matthew Koon (Billy), Brad Kavanagh (Michael), Brooke Havana Bailey (Debbie), Phil Whitchurch (Jackie Elliot) & Gillian Kirkpatrick (Mrs Wilkinson understudy) as well as several ensemble, ballet girls and tall/small boys.
The new cast began performances on Monday 4 December. New cast members include Dean McCarthy (Billy) Jonty Bowyer (Michael), Amy Duggan (Debbie), James Gaddas (Jackie Elliot), and Dominic Tribuzio (Ensemble and understudy older Billy).
